This opening session of The Academy CNO Forum will start with a round of introductions and discussion of current top priorities. CNOs will come prepared to share their top 3 strategic priorities for 2017. Additionally, members will have the opportunity to ask for insights and feedback for their most pressing challenges.

As healthcare systems are in the process of shifting their care models there is increasing emphasis on the ambulatory care environment. This open-discussion session will focus on the evolving role of the CNO and ambulatory care.

CNO/CNIO Issues Forum: Digital Health

This session will highlight innovations in digital health. NYP OnDemand is a suite of digital health services for patients and providers, delivering care and expertise from Columbia Doctors and Weill Cornell Medicine. It allows users to quickly and easily communicate with NYP doctors from their mobile phone, tablet, or computer-and address their health faster. Chief Innovation Officer, Peter Fleischut, M.D., will lead this interactive discussion.

CNO Executive Briefing: Academy GE Nurse Fellows Action Projects

As part of The Academy GE Fellows Program, each participating Fellow must work in conjunction with their health system mentor and CEO to identify and lead an action project that contributes to the system's corporate strategic aims. These projects provide detailed insight into some of the high-level initiatives being addressed by health systems across the country. In this session, executives from the 2017 Fellowship class will lead a discussion on the progress and end goal of their projects. In order to allow for meaningful discussion, each Fellow will be at a different table. Seating is assigned, so be sure to check The Academy app for your table number!

CNO/CNIO Issues Forum: Leveraging Informatics to Improve Clinical Workflow

The goal of this session is to better understand how informatics and information technology can support clinical workflow and quality patient care. Ann Martin, R.N. and Tracey Moffatt, R.N. from Ochsner Health System will kick-off the discussion with casestudy examples from their experience at Ochsner as well as facilitate discussion with the other health system teams on how nursing informatics can support the practice of nursing.
